JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assist in coordinating and providing District clothing bank services to meet the clothing needs of identified FWCS students; purchase, collect, sort and distribute new/donated clothing; arrange clothing bank drives, attend meetings and activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and one year clerical experience working with social services, educational or related programs. Applicants must have strong office, computer, and oral and written communication skills. Incumbents must possess a valid Indiana driver’s license.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Coordinate and provide or assist in providing District clothing bank services to meet the clothing needs of identified FWCS students; assist the Family in Transiton Coordinator in developing and operating the District clothing bank.
2. Schedule, coordinate and arrange clothing bank drives; prepare and disseminate related promotional and informational materials; collect and sort donated clothing.
3. Serve as a liaison between the District, school sites, local agencies and the public concerning the clothing bank and clothing bank drives; respond to inquiries and provide information concerning related services, activities, schedules, issues, needs, requirements, processes and procedures.
4. Establish and maintain partnerships with local agencies to develop resources for the clothing bank; promote the program in local businesses, churches and community organizations; prepare and deliver oral presentations concerning the clothing bank and related needs, goals and objectives.
5.Maintain various records related to the clothing bank, monitor monetary and clothing donations, document student names who have received clothing supplies and assigned activities.
6.Perform related duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services or Manager of Student Placement.
