06/03/2025 - Establishes strong, productive, and trusting relationships with the administrative team, school-personnel, staff, students, and community to seek input on assets and needs to address barriers to learning
- Identifies and organizes existing services on campus via assets and needs assessments, focus groups, logic model, and continuous cycle for improvement
- Manages day-to-day operations of the Community Schools model, including managing partnerships, site plans, and coordinating resources, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of programs and strategies
- Acts as the liaison between school administration, key educational partners, staff, students, and the community
- Organizes and attends various school meetings and other outreach and grant related activities and events
- Effectively communicates program goals, logistics, requirements, and needs with all school site staff, administrators, and parents supports and aligns parent and community outreach activities and programs that support improved student learning and academic achievement
- Stays familiar with all subcontracted interagency partner MOUs and overseas successful implementation of services
- Coordinates and works with the Community School Advisory Committee, school administrators, teachers, community-based organizations, parents, and students to identify barriers to learning, available resources, gaps, and develops programs that are community responsive, including a referral process to community-based services
- Analysis performance measures, school results data (internal and external), and/or program quality to determine the successful implementation of programs and meet program outcomes
- Works with school staff and administration to integrate academic and non-academic supports
- Ensures that transformative progress is made towards meeting grant indicators and objectives and supports the academic, post-secondary, and enrichment goals of students
- Coordinates, develops, and manages the collection of data needed for internal and external program audits and compliance requirements, including ongoing evaluation of data to measure program effectiveness
- Participates in professional development opportunities regarding the development of full-service community schools
- Ensures the timely submission of all required reports and supporting materials to the District's Coordinator of Student and Family Support
- Supports the integration of non-academic services and school priorities through participation in the School Site Council (SSC), school leadership teams, Coordination of Services Team (COST), Student Success Teams (SST), or other site based teams and/or meetings as appropriate (Location extension) : [EAST BAKERSFIELD HIGH SCHOOL]

QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires these personal qualities; strong verbal and written communication skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; self-starter, organized and detail oriented; ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment; ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment; ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines while working under pressure; ability to work with individuals of diverse ethnic backgrounds; familiarity with the community and population at individual school sites; ability to adjust work hours to meet school site needs; exhibit strong professionalism.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor's Degree required (Behavioral Science Degree preferred). Demonstrated experience supporting schools/agencies in student support efforts. Experience working with community partners. Experience with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Restorative Practices (RP)
A CRIMINAL HISTORY CHECK WILL BE REQUIRED OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT.
DUTIES OF POSITION: Under the general direction of the KHSD Coordinator of Student and Family Support and school site administration the Site Coordinator of Student and Family Support will integrate the Community School model into the school site to structure to ensure family engagement, enrichment, and expanded learning services are appropriately and positively impacting student outcomes.
STARTING SALARY: $6,243.55 (monthly)
NUMBER OF MONTHS: 11.5 (to begin as soon as possible)
NUMBER OF HOURS: 8 (daily working hours to be 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
