- The Career Guide will be expected to work Monday- Friday from 12 pm – 4 pm
- Serve as the front-line face of the Career Hub with professionalism and excellent interpersonal qualities.
- Provide walk-in career resources information and resume writing basics.
- Meet with students to assist in the creation or improvement of resumes and cover letters, encouraging creative approaches to showcase their skills.
- Provide basic interviewing tips and information.
- Educate and inform students on the use and functionality of Handshake and PathwayU
- Understand additional UVU resources and be able to direct students if necessary
- Assist with the marketing and execution of Career and Internship Center events (i.e., Career Fairs, Information Sessions, etc.).
- Contribute innovative ideas to enhance the effectiveness and reach of Career and Internship Center initiatives, such as visiting classes or handing out flyers to help share awareness of the Career Hub resources
- Assist with a variety of projects and other duties as assigned.
- Must be a current UVU Student
- Must be able to work 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm Monday – Friday.
- Include a screenshot showing your Fall class schedule with days and times.
- Work schedule for future semesters to be determined after hire with another Career Guide
- Must be reliable and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
- Ability to think creatively and propose new ideas for student engagement and career services.
Utah Valley University is seeking a creative and proactive student to provide student support at the Career and Internship’s Career Hub.
This shift is Monday through Friday, 12 pm - 4pm, for a total of 20 hours/week.About the company
