      Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Social Media Assistant at our partner organization, Center for the Arts Lake Sunapee Region. Center for the Arts is looking for a creative and detail-oriented student employee to help grow our presence on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Spotify and Youtube. The ideal candidate is a strong writer who understands platform trends, voice, and audience engagement. This role offers hands-on experience in mission-driven digital marketing, community engagement, and creative storytelling.

      Job Responsibilities:

      • Creating and posting content
      • Tracking performance metrics
      • Increasing visibility and interaction across platforms
      • Assist in creating and scheduling content for Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
      • Monitor platform trends and suggest ideas to boost engagement
      • Track and report basic performance metrics (followers, reach, interactions)
      • Help develop strategies to grow podcast listenership
      • Support community interaction (responding to comments, messages, etc.)
      • Conduct light research on audience trends and similar organizations
      • Attend team meetings and contribute creative ideas for digital outreach

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
      • Work study part of financial aid package
      • Students with work study may be prioritized
      • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
      • Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Spotify, YouTube, and LinkedIn, including trends and features
      • Basic understanding of digital engagement and content strategy
      • Ability to track and interpret basic performance metrics (likes, reach, listens, etc.)
      • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
      • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
      • Interest in nonprofit work, arts, or community building a plus
      • Experience or interest in increasing podcast listens is a plus
      • Reliable access to internet and computer

      Work Schedule: 5-10 hours weekly

      Compensation

      The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
