Job Description
- Req#: NAM01551
- Assist teams and foster involvement of all associates in lean practices and efforts.
- Data collection, entry and analysis with improvement plans. May include, but not limited to productivity, total productive maintenance (TPM), downtime, scrap and change over initiatives.
- Leads 5S efforts, including planning, implementing and supporting plant floor and maintenance activities.
- Perform cycle time studies to create and validate production standards including standardized work.
- Process layout and material flow.
- Identify and implement cost and waste reduction activities.
- Recommend improvement to the manufacturing process.
- Must be a currently enrolled, degree seeking student from an accredited engineering program majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other Engineering related discipline.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills required.
- Working knowledge of computer application software such as MS Office, MS Access, Minitab, AutoCAD, SAP (training will be provided if needed).
- Ability and desire to work in a fast paced, manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to work overtime when required.
- Must be organized and work well with constantly priority changes.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
