      Qualifications :

      • Applicants must:
        • Be a current high school student within Culpeper County Public Schools
        • Have taken/are enrolled in a Coopable Career and Technical Ed. Course
        • Be able to adjust class schedules to meet the needs of the positions (excluding required courses)
        • Provide reliable transportation
        • Meet a professional standard that is acceptable for the working environment
      • Skills:
        • Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher)
        • Ability to handle and complete multiple tasks assigned
        • Greet visitors and calls with respect and clarity
        • Understanding of CCPS and EVHS/CCHS policies and procedures (These can be found in the CCPS and EVHS/CCHS Handbooks)
        • Organizational skills must be strong enough to handle daily tasks of a large volume school system

      Job Description:

      The Career and Technical Education Student Co-Op Office Assistant is responsible for:

      • Filing and maintaining student records in the Counseling department (Training Provided) *Upon signing a confidentiality agreement provided by Human Resources*
      • Attending to the needs of the reception desk, ensuring that all visitors are helped and all calls directed to the proper staff
      • In the absence of a regular staff member, covering the Attendance window and Counseling reception desk (Training Provided)
      • Attendance at work when 12 month employees are required to do so, including summer weeks and at-school teacher work days
      • Working until the end of the business day for CCPS
      • Other duties as assigned by Main Administrative Assistant and Administration
