      The opportunity

      Concierge Desk staff provide high-quality customer service to the Southern New Hampshire University community. Responsibilities include answering questions and assisting with event set-ups within the Student Center. Employees must be willing to work flexible hours, late nights and weekends. This position also supports the Office of Student Involvement in general, and employees may participate in special projects as assigned. Our student employees are essential in helping us build community and support others finding a sense of belonging at SNHU. The Concierge Desk position plays a vital role in that goal. We look to hire students who demonstrate integrity.

      Key Job Responsibilities:

      • Oversee the daily operations of the Concierge Desk
      • Report Lost and Found items, and notify person if possible
      • Assist with inventory, sorting, and daily operations of the campus food pantry, The Cupboard
      • Assist students, staff, faculty, and visitors with questions and refer them to the appropriate resources
      • Lend out tablets and phone chargers as requested by students
      • Receive, sign for and contact student, faculty and staff regarding special deliveries (flowers, etc.)
      • Sell Tickets for trips and events through SNHUTickets
      • Maintain an accurate record of all transactions and duties performed
      • Post daily signage for the Student Center and Green Center reserved tables and conference rooms
      • Ensure meeting rooms are reset to designated format and help with special setup needs for groups
      • Responsible for reporting security issues to Public Safety as needed while on duty
      • Perform other duties as assigned

      Expectations:

      • Provide world class customer service
      • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in difficult situations with little supervision
      • Maintain a positive attitude during all shifts and be a role model for colleagues
      • Arrive at all shifts on-time and stay until the end of the shift
      • Wear appropriately designated and provided attire
      • Attend all monthly staff meetings and employee appreciation events
      • Must be committed to creating and supporting an inclusive community

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Must be a full time enrolled student in an Undergraduate Day or Graduate Day Program
      • Must have driver’s license and a clean driving record
      • Must be able to climb stairs, sit, stoop, walk and carry 50 lbs. as needed
      • This position is available for Work Study students only
