      This job posting is for a competitive position. The hiring department will conduct a preliminary review of your application to determine who to interview.       Under direction, is responsible for providing assistance, training, support, and technical assistance to District personnel in order to maintain the accuracy and integrity of student data; performs related duties as required.

      • Provides training, assistance, and support to District personnel who enter and maintain student data, including attendance, behavior, schedules, records, census information, and enrollment;
      • Assists District personnel in the production, interpretation, and analysis of reports derived from various systems which store student data information;
      • Utilizes analytic tools to monitor assigned schools' conformance with applicable policies and procedures related to the maintenance of student data information;
      • Provides formal training to District personnel in the proper maintenance of student data information and the implementation of Board policies, administrative guidelines, and related policies and procedures;
      • Provides periodic data evaluation summaries in accordance with specific rating criteria;
      • Develops school specific plans of action to address student data errors and non-compliance with policies, procedures, and administrative guidelines;
      • Documents the implementation of new policies and procedures related to the maintenance of student data;
      • Provides on-site assistance to school staff in the entry of student data, accurate recordkeeping, proper documentation, and production of reports;
      • Provides assistance to school staff in the handling of truancy investigative actions and the proper documentation for enrolled students who are unable to be located;
      • Plans software training schedule for District staff, including formal beginning of year and end of year meetings with school staff; develops and coordinates curriculum for training sessions;
      • Provides technical assistance and support to end users; arranges for additional technical support as needed;
      • Generates disk file reports to review; monitors system data;
      • Informs end users of system changes, application updates, and edits in data;
      • Develops and maintains training documentation and materials, including videos
      • Assists in maintenance of the student information system knowledge base wiki;
      • Prepares and maintains required documentation, reports, records, and files.
      Completion of the twelfth school grade and two (2) years of experience which included responsibility for compliance to laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to the maintenance of student data information or the use of student data software. Substitution(s): A certificate of high school equivalence (GED) will be accepted in lieu of the twelfth school grade requirement. College coursework in business technology, business administration, or a related field may substitute for the required experience on a year for year basis (thirty (30) semester/forty-five (45) quarter credit hours equals one (1) year).

      Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license. The names of the applicants passing this administration of this exam will be MERGED with the names on the current Open Competitive eligible list. If you are interested in having your name included on the new eligible list, you will need to apply for this position within the filing period indicated above and successfully complete all phases of the testing process. It is the responsibility of all applicants to provide a complete list of relevant work experience (previous and current) on the application.       The examination process will consist of a multiple-choice test weighted 40% covering Problem Sensing, Logic & Reasoning, and Information Ordering, and a computerized exam weighted 60% covering Customer Service, Reading Comprehension, Windows 7, Word 2013, Excel 2013, and Outlook 2010..

      The exam is expected to be administered in March 2024 . Approved applicants will be notified by email of their scheduled test date and time.

      Candidates must bring a valid driver’s license to the test.

      All applicants must complete all phases of the testing process in order to receive a final score. The names of all candidates who pass this examination will remain on the eligible list for two years, unless the eligible list is replaced prior to or extended beyond the two years. If a candidate's name is certified and the candidate is to be considered for employment, the hiring process will include one or more interviews, a criminal background check, and may include a pre-employment drug test.


      The certification process will be the top 10 candidates on the eligible list, or top 25% of the list, whichever is greater, based on overall test score.
