- Informs staff of student deficiencies in addressing student course requirements.
- Maintains electronic and manual documents, files, and records.
- Prepares standardized documents and reports.
- Researches and verifies discrepancies in student records ensuring accuracy of information.
- Updates enrollments, transcripts, and withdrawals in the information system database.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience in an office setting preferred.
- Experience with data entry software, EHR software, Microsoft Access, Intuit QuickBooks, and/or optical scanning software preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- High degree of confidentiality, motivation, and responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability in compiling, organizing, and analyzing data.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced work environment.
- Highly collaborative team player.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to self-initiate areas of opportunity, make recommendations for improvement, and follow up as necessary to achieve desired results.
POSITION TITLE: Student Information Specialist 4
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Mission Trail Middle School
HOURS OF WORK: 8 Hour Day/210 Calendar Days Yearly
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for registering of students and maintaining computerized student records and files.
This position is expected to provide student information to authorized parties in compliance with established policies.
This position reports to the building administrator.PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the performance of light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The position typically involves 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. The position requires visual acuity as well as frequent hearing and talking and some crouching, grasping, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and significant fine finger dexterity. This position is performed in an indoor and generally hazard free environment.
