REPORTS TO SIS Coordinator FLSA STATUS Exempt SUPERVISES DEPT Planning FTE 1.0 WORK CALENDAR 248 GRADE Classified Exempt Salary Schedule Grade F APPROVED REVISED 02/27/2027 SUMMARY: Analyzes, prepares and reports student information. Researches and implements technology supports and staff training to ensure accuracy and appropriate timing of student data. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze and report student data in accordance with state law, district policy and USFR guidelines. Provide recommendations in district procedures as it relates to student information reporting. Participate in internal audit processes and implement procedures to correct deficiencies. Implement, evaluate and maintain systems and application software. Participate in a variety of internal and external meetings. Coordinate and schedule district training courses. Coordinate advanced grading procedures such as grade book testing, setup, maintenance, end of term reporting and transcripts. Provide training and education programs for staff. Maintain high levels of data integrity/security. Ensure data accuracy as related to student information systems. Provide data and summary reporting to a variety of inquiries among a variety of stakeholders. Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, community members and vendors. Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality. Other job related duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree or certification in Computer Services, Business Information Management, Education Management, or related field, or 3 years of equivalent experience in Student Information Systems management. High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Minimum of five (5) years experience using a student information system in a mid to large-sized district preferred. Working knowledge of the ADE AzEDS system and reporting requirements preferred. CERTIFICATIONS: Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC). SKILL/KNOWLEDGE: Federal and state laws governing school district reporting requirements. ADE business rules, reporting system and data collection requirements preferred. Strong knowledge of Infinite Campus student information system. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to train users of all levels in individual and large group settings. Exposure to SQL programming and advanced ad hoc techniques preferred. Advanced MS Excel experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical documents. Exceptional ability to write general correspondence and speak effectively with others in individual and large group settings. Strong mathematical and statistical skills. Ability to interpret assortment of instructions furnished in variable forms Ability to apply reason to research and solve moderately complex issues with little or no assistance ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Positions in this class typically require activities such as sitting, talking, hearing, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, seeing, and repetitive motions. Light Work: This job may involve exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
