    • Provide timely, effective technical support and comprehensive training to all SIS users (including administrators, teachers, counselors, and support staff).
    • Lead, manage, and meticulously execute the critical year-end rollover and beginning-of-year setup processes within the SIS.
    • Work collaboratively and proactively with various district departments, such as the Office of Teaching & Learning and Business Services, to ensure that the SIS effectively meets the district's data needs.
    • Design and develop custom forms within the SIS to meet the diverse needs of the district, including student registration, specialized data collection, internal surveys, and other administrative processes.
    • Serve as the primary technical expert and point of contact for troubleshooting all SIS-related issues. This includes investigating data discrepancies, resolving system errors, and addressing user-reported problems by diagnosing root causes and implementing effective, lasting solutions.
    • Oversee, manage, and troubleshoot all integrations between the SIS and other critical district systems (e.g., ClassLink, Learning Management Systems, ransportation and food service platforms, rostering of individualized applications such as Keystone, PSSA, and Firefly testing).
    • Create and meticulously maintain comprehensive documentation of the SIS data structure, including data dictionaries, entity-relationship diagrams, and data flow maps.
    • Develop, document, and execute strategic plans for reorganizing and restructuring data within the SIS. This includes defining clear data relationships, optimizing data fields, and ensuring strict alignment with state and federal reporting mandates to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and reporting capabilities.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to an SIS; experience with Infinite Campus is highly desirable.
    • Solid understanding of K-12 school district operations, student data lifecycle, academic processes, and state/federal reporting mandates.
    • Demonstrated experience and expertise in data auditing, data cleansing, complex data restructuring, and data migration projects.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to train and support users across a range of technical proficiency levels.

      We invite prospective applicants to apply for the position of STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (SIS) COORDINATOR at the Southern Lehigh School District .

      ABOUT THE DISTRICT
      Southern Lehigh SD serves nearly 3,100 students across five schools, which are highly ranked by U.S. News & World Report (2024). Hopewell and Liberty Bell Elementary Schools are ranked in the Top 10% of all elementary schools in the Commonwealth and each serves a population of more than 350 students in Grades K-3. The Joseph P. Liberati Intermediate School and Southern Lehigh Middle School are ranked in the Top 2% of all middle schools in the Commonwealth and serve over 700 students in Grades 4-6 and nearly 500 students in Grades 7-8. Southern Lehigh High School is ranked in the Top 10% of all high schools—public and private—in the Commonwealth and serves over 1,000 students in Grades 9-12.

      OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
      To effectively manage, maintain, and ensure the integrity of the district's Student Information System. This role involves overseeing and improving the database structure, guaranteeing data accuracy, designing and managing forms, troubleshooting system issues, and providing comprehensive support to end-users. A critical focus will be on identifying and resolving existing structural data problems within the SIS platform.

      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

      POSITION REQUIREMENTS
      Education: Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, Educational Technology, or a related field is preferred.
      Experience: 3-5 years preferred;
      We are seeking an individual with any level of experience, preferably with proven, in-depth knowledge working with Infinite Campus as a Student Information System, including a comprehensive understanding of its modules, underlying database structure, and advanced administrative tools.

      1. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to an SIS; experience with Infinite Campus is highly desirable.
      2. Solid understanding of K-12 school district operations, student data lifecycle, academic processes, and state/federal reporting mandates.
      3. Demonstrated experience and expertise in data auditing, data cleansing, complex data restructuring, and data migration projects.
      4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to train and support users across a range of technical proficiency levels.

      Note: Selected candidates must be able to produce valid [1] PA State Criminal Record Check (ACT 34), [2] FBI Criminal History Record Investigation (ACT 114), [3] PA DHS Child Abuse History Clearance (ACT 151). and [4] PA Arrest/Conviction Report Certification Form (ACT 24) all within one year of issue at the time of hire.

      COMPENSATION
      NON EXEMPT: Salary TBD on 2025-2026 Employee Wage Agreeemnt.
