      Position Title:

      Student Intern-Administrative Internship-Marketing and Communications-Mount Sinai Health System-Hybrid-Part Time-Days

      Position Summary:

      Mount Sinai Health System – Office for Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) Pathway Programs.

      Our Administration and Operations Summer Internship Program provides non-clinical (not patient facing) internship opportunities within hospital and corporate departments to high school, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students. Our goal is to expose individuals to unique career pathways in healthcare leadership, management, and administrative fields while offering the tools, skills, and knowledge necessary to succeed within the industry.

      Students are expected to participate in all ODI-sponsored activities, including educational sessions and panels, engagement events, and the Awards & Recognition Ceremony at the end of the summer.

      Qualifications

      Eligibility

      • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with an interest in pursuing a career in health care.
      • Must be a U.S. citizen, have a permanent resident card or VISA.

      Skills and Qualifications

      • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
      • Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Ability to work independently and on teams
      • Demonstrated interest or experience in writing
      • Working knowledge of blogging and social media platforms and Canva or similar basic design programs

      Responsibilities

      Department: Marketing and Communications

      • Create and post content for Mount Sinai Today, the digital news site for the Mount Sinai Health System and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
      • Participate in regular calls to discuss and plan content.
      • Use tools from Google and other platforms to understand search trends and help develop content in response.
      • Improve content sharing with the social media and video teams.
      • Prepare regular metric reports to measure traffic and engagement.
      • Serve as a liaison with other Mount Sinai teams, including social media, digital, press, and marketing.
