- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, preferably in an Accounting stream
- Tech savvy - highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Knowledge and experience with Alteryx/Power Query and Power BI is an asset)
- Very strong communication skills - high level of interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication;
- Resourceful - strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to research;
- Hard working and quick learning - self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and high level of attention to detail;

The individual should have strong attention to detail, analytical skills, problem solving abilities and overall business acumen and the ability to research issues, assist with ad hoc projects and requests, and multitask in a complex environment.
As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
In this role you will have the opportunity to put your accounting and analytical skills to work, assisting the team primarily with the period end close process, but also with mid-cycle process efficiency projects. This includes consolidation of feeds from the Business units, reconciliation of reports from various systems, variance analysis, preparation of financial statement notes, and operational support for OMERS’ borrowing program. This role will give you exposure to the reporting information produced by our Capital Markets, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Private Equity functions. As such you will have the opportunity to learn about the elements that constitute a globally diversified, long term investment portfolio and the dynamic organization that manages it.
