      Essential Job Duties:

      • Performs or assists with the patient's activities of daily living utilizing the Relationship Based Care model.
      • Assists the healthcare team by collecting, reporting, documenting, and delivering care to support high-quality and safe outcomes.
      • Maintains high satisfaction levels by providing care with consideration of the individual needs of the patient/family and their age-specific/developmental needs.
      • Contributes to a high-performance work environment by maintaining specific knowledge and skills needed to perform tasks according to policy and procedure at Good Samaritan Hospital.
      • Hours worked will be split between Patient Care Technician assignments and SNE preceptor assignments depending upon SNE level.

      Job Specifications:

      • Education: High School Graduate, GED, or currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing
      • Licensure: Not applicable
      • Experience: Maintain GPA 2.7 or better and proof of good standing in school of nursing.

      Student Nurse Extern program is specifically designed for nursing students who are working towards the completion of nursing school.

      As a Student Nurse Extern you will:

      *Work side-by-side with RN Preceptor

      *Improve your patient care skills

      *Gain confidence in a clinical setting

      *Ease your transition from student to RN

      *Be actively involved in real-world nursing situations
