- Knowledgeable about a wide range of office support duties, including taking memos, maintaining files, and organizing documents
- Excellent communicators who can adapt to meet a variety of individual needs and backgrounds
- Familiar with available student resources on campus
- Reliable with strong time and task-management skills
- Creative problem solvers who can find new approaches to challenges.
- Use computer programs such as Word, Excel, and data entry programs
- Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, and provide basic organization information;
- Maintain office equipment and supply inventory as needed
- Assist in planning organization events, meetings, luncheons, and special projects;
- Help prepare reports and collect data.
Utah Valley University is looking to bring on additional office assistants who will help with the daily operations of the tutoring centers on campus for the Academic Tutoring Department. Under the direction of the department administrative assistant, office assistants will be responsible for a variety of support tasks, including handling phone calls and other communications, greeting clients and visitors, managing files, updating paperwork and other documents, and performing other general office clerk duties and errands.
