Job Description

- Working the control desk area.
- Greeting customers.
- Answering the phone.
- Assisting customers in signing into Student Life and Wellness Center and fitness classes.
- Process memberships and other payment programs.
- Maintain operation during operating hours.
- Keeping the Student Life and Wellness Center clean, and organized.
- Ensure proper knowledge of membership services and fees.
- Foster a healthy work environment with ability to work well with other Student Life and Wellness Center staff members.
- Provide exceptional customer service and provide facility tours.
- Serve the general population with equipment renting.
- Responsible for cash management and compliance.
- Supports recreation events and programs as needed.
- Responsible for customer service and supports area reservations or special events.
- Must be a current UVU student.
- High school diploma or equivalent or undergraduate degree–seeking student or individual.
- Must be able to work on-call with no set/committed hours.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills.
- Know policies and procedures as it relates to Member & Guest Services.
- Operate office machines and equipment.
- Organization and planning skills.
- Ability to work well with diverse group of people.
- Ability to be trained on new techniques and job responsibilities.
- Ability to comprehend, carry out, and explain verbal and written instructions or information.
