    • Ability to present information in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations to students, parents, guardians, and district staff.

    • Ability to plan and coordinate activities on multiple campuses

    • Work with campus administrators, counselors and teachers to support student success

      • Assist school staff members with intervention strategies and techniques regarding student concerns

      • Support student College and Career Readiness as a part of the counseling department team

      • Support positive school attendance for students

        • Serve on the attendance committees on each campus

        • Assist student in situations that affect social and academic success and school attendance

        • Make parent contacts including phone calls, video meets, in person meetings, and home visits to encourage positive attendance

    • Assist school staff members with intervention strategies and techniques regarding student concerns

    • Support student College and Career Readiness as a part of the counseling department team

    • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with with other school professionals and community organizations

    • Adhere to professional ethics and standards of a professional counselor and be a positive representative of SISD.

    • Follow District safety protocols and emergency procedures

    • Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and board policy.
