We're excited to continue solidifying that foundation as we are looking for a Student Summer Intern to join our growing team in Sarasota, Florida.

      This opportunity will provide exposure to all aspects of selling and servicing insurance at a high level. This internship is a great introduction to a career in sales, and provides students with a hands-on learning experience. Each day provides students with a variety of experiences, and education is at the forefront of this internship. Our goal is for students to experience real-world situations by working along with other team members on an actual new business and renewal accounts.

      General Responsibilities:

      • Student will develop and execute a sales process (relationship building, prospecting new opportunities, meeting with prospective clients, policy review/analysis, marketing new business accounts and presentations to prospective clients)
      • Student will learn in the areas of Property & Casualty, Employee Benefits, and Personal Lines insurance.
      • Students will learn to analyze a prospect’s needs and current insurance programs and find opportunities to strengthen their risk management structure.
      • Students will participate in training meetings, which include technical and sales topics as well as sales role-play exercises with our team members.

      Required Qualifications:

      • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
      • Exceptional telephone demeanor.
      • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
      • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities and uses time efficiently.
      • Maintain confidentially, remain open to others’ ideas and exhibit willingness to try new things.
      • Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations and demonstrates group presentation skills.
