      ONLY CURRENT P2C/WITC YEAR TWO STUDENTS MAY APPLY

      We are looking for one current P2C and one WITC participants to serve as Pathways to Careers and Women in Technical Careers student ambassadors!

      As P2C/WITC ambassadors, you will represent Dunwoody College of Technology and the scholarship programs on and off campus. You are present and future leaders in your departments and career fields with exceptional work ethic and determination. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and leadership potential. P2C/WITC Student Ambassadors will foster overall personal, academic, and professional growth and make valuable connections across campus and in the local community. Student Ambassadors will provide information about the P2C/WITC programs and assist with recruitment activities, such as campus tours, meet and greets, data entry, and serve as a resource for current and prospective students.

      DUTIES:

      • Works as a liaison with P2C/WITC staff
      • Assist with Community Partnerships workshops
      • Support Community Partnerships outreach including on-campus group tours, new student events, and occasional off-campus events
      • Is knowledgeable about most of the programs at Dunwoody on some level and the P2C & WITC scholarship program
      • Serve as peer contact for prospective students
      • Assist with data entry
      • Makes student-to-student calls to share about the P2C and WITC scholarship opportunities and benefits
      • Assist at monthly Open House events
      • Assist with any special projects in the community partnership department office
      • Provide excellent customer service to staff and students
      • Requires excellent verbal/written communication skills to efficiently resolve user requests and build effective client relationships.
      • Other duties as assigned

      Qualifications


      ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

      • Enrolled in at least twelve (12) credit hours in the fall/spring semester at Dunwoody College of Technology
      • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher AND be in good Academic Standing
      • Availability for some evening and/or weekend events
      • Reliable transportation for off-campus events
      • Must demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, outgoing personality, and exhibits DCT pride

      COMMITMENTS:

      • Minimum of 10-15 hours of service per week
      • Maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA at DCT
      • Attend required training sessions and monthly meetings
      • Be reliable for scheduled time commitments
      • Display a positive and cooperative attitude at all events and meetings
      • Participate in P2C/WITC New Student Orientation events each semester
