- Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting related to performance improvement projects.
- Support process mapping, workflow analysis, and identification of inefficiencies in clinical and administrative areas.
- Prepare presentation materials, reports, dashboards, and summaries for project meetings and leadership briefings.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
- Conduct literature reviews and best practice research as needed for improvement projects.
- Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitoring progress toward departmental goals.
- Maintain organized documentation of project timelines, deliverables, and outcomes.
- Take initiative to work independently on assigned tasks, managing time effectively and ensuring timely completion with minimal supervision.
- Perform general administrative support as required by the department.
Job description:
The Student Assistant will support the Performance Excellence Department in initiatives aimed at improving the quality, safety, efficiency, and overall performance of the hospital. This role offers hands-on experience in healthcare quality improvement, data analysis, project coordination, and process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and PDSA (Plan-Do-Study-Act).
