- Conduct in-depth analysis of climatic data from various sites
- Assist in the greenfield screening process
- Perform Geographic Information System (GIS) tasks
- Create and implement solutions using Python programming
- Collaborate with Siting Engineers on research projects related to data science
- Engage in miscellaneous tasks and activities as needed
- Currently enrolled in the final year of a Master's degree program in the field of engineering, with a preference for specializations in renewable energy, wind energy, aerodynamics, meteorology, geographic information, information technology or physics
- Proficiency in Python programming, including the ability to develop and implement solutions using Python
- Basic understanding of wind turbine design and wind resource assessment
- Basic understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and experience with GIS tools and applications
- A good theoretical foundation in wind measurement campaigns, including an understanding of relevant concepts and principles
- Practical skills and hands-on experience with industry-specific software tools such as windPRo, WAsP, and GIS
- Fluent proficiency in both spoken and written English
- Demonstrates professionalism and unwavering commitment. Exhibits dedication to quality. Possesses good analytical and communication skills
- Displays flexibility and maintains a positive attitude. Approaches problems with an innovative mindset. Thrives in complex environments alongside influential colleagues

Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within Vestas Power Solutions (VPS), you'll find our matrix organization, VPS Region NCE. In this department you will be reporting to the Functional Lead Siting Solutions NCE and supporting the Siting Solution Engineers working in NCE.
Siting Solution Engineers are specialized in the comprehensive analysis of site climatic conditions throughout the wind farm value chain. That involves technical screening for new sites, designing and managing measurement campaigns, optimizing configurations, layouts, and operational settings of wind farms to ensure they are ideally suited for their respective sites. This optimization ultimately leads to best-in-class Levelized Cost of Energy (LCoE), benefiting Vestas and our valued customers.Responsibilities

Additional information
Your work location will be either Berlin or Hamburg in Germany.
You will be expected to work 20 hours per week within lecture periods with the possibility to work additional hours during lecture free periods.
