Write web content including news stories, calendar items, contact information, profiles, feature stories, program information and other items as assigned.
Help curate relevant stories for a bi-monthly newsletter.
Research, write and edit a variety of communications for employee intranet site.
Conduct interviews and thoroughly investigate activities and events as assigned to effectively create written materials. Digital photography also included when reporting on foundation events.
Provide proofreading and editing support to communications staff for all communication pieces produced by ASU Enterprise Partners.
Maintain thorough files and project records and track client communications so as to find important information and project histories.
Perform other editorial assignments and projects as assigned.
Strong content development and writing skills.
Collaborative style combined with the ability and desire to work in a team-based environment.
Strong and collegial interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively in person, writing and by phone.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to ASU Enterprise Partners, its affiliates and university business and confidential prospect information.
Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing assigned duties.
Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects.
Strong skill in writing in a journalistic style appropriate to various tasks such as websites, newsletters, marketing collaterals, etc.
Strong working knowledge of AP Style and ASU Brand Guidelines.
Strong proofreading and editing skills.
Use of computers with working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
A student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a related field with a willingness to learn and an ability to work well with others is also encouraged to apply.
A student must be willing to sign and abide by a confidentiality agreement.
Student pursuing a major in Journalism, Marketing or Public Relations preferred.

Student Writer / Editor
The Communications and Marketing team at ASU Enterprise Partners is seeking a student writer/editor. The student will be responsible for researching, writing and editing content for communication vehicles including e-newsletters, emails, websites, video scripts, print newsletters, brochures, letters, solicitations and other collateral. The position also will assist the department’s communication’s director in crafting communications to internal and external media outlets, curating content for a bi-monthly news digest and with story tracking. This position will assist the senior content manager with editing and proofing of all materials produced by the department.
Candidates must have outstanding content development and writing skills for a variety of online and hard-copy media, and the ability to work independently and as a team member.
