      Our Role:

      We are currently searching for a Study Governance Project Manager to help lead the Oncology Business Unit (OBU) Global Medical Affairs (GMA) study review and governance processes for ERT and MARCO. This role would report directly to the Program Management Leader within the Strategy, Operations & Innovation (SO&I) Team in OBU Medical. This is a high-visibility role interacting directly with the Medical Evidence Delivery team, Oncology Outcomes Research (O2R) team, Global Medical Tumor teams, and the Core Medical Leadership Team (CMLT). The position will be based in Poland or Mississauga, Canada.

      This person is responsible for driving study governance for the GMA organization. This team member will implement and maintain compliance strategies for GMA study governance in alignment with AZ Code of Ethics and the Global Policies, as agreed with GMA CMLT, will work collaboratively and act significantly to support the broader GMA goals and will be a champion for best-practices and governance.

      Accountabilities/responsibilities

      • Manage the membership, planning, preparation, execution and documentation of monthly MARCO meetings and ongoing ERT study governance forums for OBU GMA.

      • Implement strategies for study governance processes and standards through a network of process owners and subject matter experts to proactively mitigate risk

      • Responsible to stay up to date and familiar with AZ Code of Ethics and the Global Policies and SOPs related to study review and governance.

      • Responsible for helping to develop and communicate relevant training for OBU GMA.

      • Contributes to establishing and implementing policies, procedures and standards for own work and across governance forums, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards and regulations

      • Support to OBU GMA in Quality and Compliance related systems and tools

      • Works within the Global SO&I to build processes that will streamline the business. Collaborates with other team members within the SO&I organization and the Evidence & Alliances organization to identify and embed standard processes.

      • Partners with other SO&I PMs supporting Global Medical tumor and asset teams to ensure alignment and appropriate inclusion of support.

      • Provides project management support for special projects and workstreams within the Evidence Generation Publications and Partnerships team.

      • Continuously strives for improvement on ways of working to share best practices to streamline and simplify the business processes.

      • Accountable for implementation of medical standards to ensure functioning of the organization.

      Required experience:

      • Proven experience in pharmaceutical industry

      • Minimum of 2 years experience in Medical Affairs or R&D (Global, regional, or local)

      • Understanding of the development and commercialisation of pharmaceutical products

      • Experience of successful influencing cross functionally, cross-culturally and cross-brands

      • Experience of effective working in a multi-cultural, matrixed environment

      • Experience in a global setting, leading partners within different time zones

      • Experience preparing and/or delivering presentations to executive leadership

      • Experience in planning and leading pivotal initiatives

      Preferred Requirements:

      • Six Sigma Medical/Process Excellence and/or Project Management/PMP/FPX certification is a plus but not required

      • Depth of understanding of medical, scientific and/or commercial pharmaceutical marketplace of Oncology
