      Req#: 654609BR
      The Southeast Materials Acquisition Center (SEMAC) organization is a centralized buying center supporting all Missiles and Fire Control Business Areas. This position is structured within the SEMAC Operations Support and Information Technology team.
      The successful candidate will be responsible for awarding and administering contracts in support internal customer requirements. Some travel may be required.

      This role will offer you the following daily challenges:
      • Preparation of procurement file documentation in accordance with LMAP/CAP procedures in a high volume, quick turn environment on outside processing of LM owned parts
      • Sources and purchases various Procurements, including but not limited to outside processing services, and/or supplies necessary to support the operation of the organization
      • Review proposals, negotiates prices, selects, or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records
      • Ability to determine pricing to be fair and reasonable based on technical evaluation, history, market data, or cost element evaluation
      • Work closely with suppliers to execute contracts and provide contract management support with complex contracts
      • Work all aspects of the Procurement interface including competition, Supplier performance indicators, invoices/billings, changes, schedule, budgets, funding.
      • Facilities support including competitive and single-source procurement of hardware and services
      • Commercial item Determination
      • Contract Management
      • Price Analysis
      • Negotiations
      • Proactive Customer Support To be successful, you need to possess these basic qualifications:
      • Strong oral and written communication skills
      • Detail oriented and demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
      • Demonstrated ability to establish strong internal customer and supplier relationships.
      • Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders and internal customers daily. To be successful, ideally, you should exhibit:
      • SAP/P2P/SC Nav experience
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
      • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
      • Leadership skills and ability to multi-task
      • Demonstrated delegation of authority
      • Requirement documentation experience
      • Experience with supply chain and government procurement. Strong time management, organizational skills, effective verbal, and communication skills are essential.
