    • Review courses that are in progress for standards alignment based on SOLs
    • Review course for accuracy in materials including factually correct content, applications, and assessments.
    • Report all findings to the Curriculum Specialist
    • Kindergarten Social Studies
    • Grade 1 Social Studies
    • Grade 2 Social Studies
    • Grade 3 Social Studies
    • Grade 4 Social Studies (VA Studies)
    • Experience teaching the course in the past 24 months, either online or in person.
    • Careful attention to detail in the content area, specifically regarding the accuracy of all content.
    • Willingness to work through the course materials in a student role.
    • Ability to clearly communicate with the Curriculum Team in a timely fashion.
    • Desire to improve course materials in regards to accuracy and alignment.
    • Experience using Canvas LMS
    • K-4 Social Studies Subject Matter Expert (SME)
      Part Time Stipend Contract Work

      Responsibilities

      • Review courses that are in progress for standards alignment based on SOLs
      • Review course for accuracy in materials including factually correct content, applications, and assessments.
      • Report all findings to the Curriculum Specialist

      K-5 Courses to be reviewed (SME will review one of the following)

      • Kindergarten Social Studies
      • Grade 1 Social Studies
      • Grade 2 Social Studies
      • Grade 3 Social Studies
      • Grade 4 Social Studies (VA Studies)

      Required Qualifications

      • Experience teaching the course in the past 24 months, either online or in person.
      • Careful attention to detail in the content area, specifically regarding the accuracy of all content.
