Job Description
- Req#: 4946
- Work on submission material for licensees for HarperCollins adult and children’s imprints, as well as Harlequin.
- Support creation of key presentations for International Book Fairs.
- Additional work on presentations as needed.
- Read and discuss manuscripts with an eye towards how they can be licensed.
- Learn various deal terms and how they are recorded in our various rights systems.
- Learn how to prepare files for various international publishers.
- Possible special projects as needed.
- The Subsidiary Rights team is an exciting and collaborative place to be, must enjoy working with others, and have great communication skills.
- Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2025 or 2026 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to two years of work experience.
- Candidates must be available to work in our NYC office from Monday – Thursday for a total of 28 hours per week, from June 2 – August 7, 2025. Compensation for this internship is $18 per hour.

- Ideal candidates are either currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program.
- Candidates must demonstrate effective task prioritization skills.
- A passion for books is highly valued!
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Join the exciting and fast-paced world of subsidiary rights! The rights team works with book clubs, audio publishers, movie studios and foreign publishers around the world to solicit and sell rights for HarperCollins and Harlequin books for all ages.
