What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

- Work in a project team environment, collaborating with other engineers and designers on utility substation projects
- Participate in project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution
- Perform technical analyses of electrical substation systems and prepare design documents
- Review electrical power calculations, lighting and grounding calculations, and equipment specifications
- Create new drawings, modify existing drawings, and prepare as-built documents

What is Required (Qualifications):

- BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- 2-5 years of experience in the specification and design of electric substation equipment and systems
- Ability to prioritize work on multiple projects
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

- MS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Working knowledge of SKM and/or ETAP analytical software or equivalent
- AutoCAD experience
- Familiarity with ANSI/IEEE/NEMA standards as they relate to substation design
- Experience with Utility-specific design
