    • License and Certification Qualifications: Attain required GCIC Certification within State of Georgia mandates.

      Education Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

      Experience Qualifications: Five years of administrative or equivalent acceptable experience required. Experience in law enforcement or school safety is preferred.

      Skills Qualifications: High degree of skill in oral and written communication; high degree of skill in organization and problem-solving; ability to prepare comprehensive reports, draft professional business correspondence, and process transactions; demonstrated ability to effectively analyze information and data, respond to inquiries and requests from other managers, employees, and the general public; ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality; strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office required; and knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred..

      Primary Responsibilities: Work closely with the School Safety Coordinator to support the district?s mission to maintain safe, secure, and welcoming learning environments across all schools and facilities. Assists local schools with questions regarding district safety initiatives and provides general clerical support to the School Safety Coordinator.

      1. Provide administrative support for the School Safety Coordinator.
      a. Assist with email responses to the School Safety Coordinator Group Email.

      b. Assist in maintaining the School Safety Contacts distribution list.

      2. Provide support to schools on equipment needs or repairs for safety initiative programs.
      a. Change out CENTEGIX Badges as requested by schools.
      b. Provide schools with information on how to request service for equipment repairs on Raptor or CENTEGIX equipment.

      3. Support district-wide safety initiatives, events, and communications as directed by the School Safety Coordinator.
      a. Prepare any site plans, training manuals, and other communications distributed regarding school safety initiatives.

      4. Maintain the Safety Initiative and Monthly Drills portion of the Safety and Security SharePoint Site.

      a. Update information, training documents, and links to maintain current information for school personnel.

      5. Maintain the Monthly Drill Database for all drills performed by schools.
      a. Enter all drills into the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire website.
      b. Create monthly reports to Director of School Operations and Support on schools that have not performed monthly drills, as well as address any issues with drills performed.

      6. Perform other duties as assigned.

      Physical Demands:
      While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and/or reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to operate a motor vehicle in performance of duties. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
