  High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree or 60 hours of post-secondary education preferred
  Satisfactory completion of Pioneer RESA 3 Hours Substitute Teacher Training Course or possession of a valid or expired Georgia Teaching Certificate (or letter of eligibility of same), or documentation of completion of Substitute Teacher Training with surrounding school systems.
  Criminal background clearance

  Maintain positive and orderly classroom and provide instruction to students according to the plans left by the regular employee.
  Supervise students outside the classroom (hallways, cafeteria, etc.).
  Use appropriate behavior management strategies.
  Act in a professional and ethical manner
  Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  Adhere to all Hall County School District Board of Education policies and all state and federal laws, policies, and procedures.
  Perform other duties as assigned.
  Ability to lift or carry up to 25 pounds
  Ability to push or pull a maximum of 50 pounds
  Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching
  Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist • Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees • Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine
  Sitting: Particularly for sustained periods of time
  Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time
  Hearing: Ability to receive detailed information and instruction

  You must complete the Substitute Teacher Orientation prior to working as a substitute.
  
  
  Position Summary:
  Provide classroom instruction, maintain classroom management, and perform related duties to ensure daily routines and responsibilities are followed during the absence of the regular employee.
  
  Qualifications:
