    • Attend and fully participate in all classroom functions and activities including but not limited to indoor & outdoor exploration, field trips, and other school-wide events (such as open houses, field trips, etc.).

    • Promote good social relationships between children.

    • Ensure safety of students.

    • Maintain respect at all times for confidential information, e.g., student records.

    • Interact in a positive manner with staff, students, and parents.

    • Practice the Burbank Early Childhood School philosophy.

    • Establish and promote successful relationships among children and adults.

    • Contribute to a high quality classroom environment.

    • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

      JOB DESCRIPTION

      Position: Burbank Early Childhood School Permanent Building Substitute

      Reports to: Director of Burbank Early Childhood School

      Employment Status: As Needed

      FLSA Status: Non-exempt

      Rate of Pay: $16.40/hr.

      Description: Supports the assistant and lead teachers with classroom

      NOTE: The below lists are not ranked in order of importance

      Qualifications:

      • High School Diploma or GED

      • Experience with groups of young children

      Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

      • Ability to work effectively with others

      • Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
