      About the Department

      Product Engineering is responsible for post-design planning and once silicon arrives, driving customer samples execution and high volume manufacturing readiness. Typical areas of activity are testing, quality, reliability, yield analysis and production support. Product Engineering Organization works horizontally across several functional organizations and is key to driving production manufacturing with time, budget and cost constraints. PEO is a fast paced multi-tasking environment.

      Job Purpose

      The purpose of this position is to contribute significantly to the Product Engineering deliverables as part of the overall product development flow. Contributions will span many areas the key of which are semiconductor test development, post-silicon debug, test program development, statistical analysis, semiconductor performance analysis and data interpretation. As a key member of the team you will have significant deliverables in order to achieve overall product goals.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Assist Product Development Engineers in ASIC bring-up, characterization and production test program development through parametric, data and statistical analysis.
      • Perform engineering and correlation studies to ensure yield, coverage and DPPM meet corporate target goal to start production ramp.
      • Participate on cross-functional teams, work closely with R&D team, and help resolve production related issues.
      • Write and maintain technical documents

      Skills and Experience Requirements

      1. Courses in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Digital Logic, Circuit Theory, Computer Architecture (Preferred)
      2. Statistics
      3. Computer hardware
      4. Strong organizational, computer and communication (written and verbal) skills

      What you will learn

      You will learn to work in a fast-paced Global Technical team environment. You will become very familiar with the inner workings of AMD and the CPUs that use the latest process technologies and designs.
