      This is a 12-week paid learning experience during which you'll be able to connect and network with other interns and leaders within the company.       WHAT IT'S LIKE:

      The Consolidated Subscriber Reporting team processes subscriber and billing data that is used by many financial and accounting groups. Our daily operations include producing a daily summary report that is viewed by our senior leadership team and CEO.

      A Data Engineer will work closely with data science, architecture, analysts, and product owners to build and maintain high-quality, scalable data solutions. This includes building solutions for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources to data lakes, warehouses etc. in both batch and streaming modes.

      Understand a wide range of different types of source data systems across the organization, including but not limited to Snowflake, Teradata, SQL Server, and Hadoop environments Interpret data models both logical and physical.
      Ingest data into data lake and data warehouses on technologies such as Snowflake, Teradata and Azure Synapse.

      Ensure continuous integration and continuous deployment practices are followed.
      Collaborate with architects and other data engineers on design.

      Transform and merge data using data processing tools like Databricks, Python, and scripting. Understand, comply, and build security features (encryption, masking, and tokenization) on data technology platforms.

      WHAT YOU'LL DO:

      Not sure of the project but the most recent intern researched and presented on optimization of scheduled data processing jobs.
      Open to you and your assigned mentor proposing an impactful project.

      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

      Understand and modify existing and create new data ingestion processes.
      Optimize queries, code, and overall processing.
      Perform problem analysis and resolution.
      Determine and work intern project.

      WHAT IT TAKES:

      Basic conceptual knowledge in following categories of tools
      Cloud Platforms - Azure (AWS or GCP is nice to have)
      Big Data Platforms – Snowflake (preferred), Teredata, Hadoop
      Data Tools and Workload Processors - Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data and Analytics services
      Data Lake and Data Warehouse concepts
      Building data pipelines via tools - Apache Spark, Apache Kafka
      Programming Languages - Java, Scala or Python (any 1)
      DevOps, deployment pipelines, Jira, and GitLab

      Strong analysis and problem solving ability
      Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
      Intermediate documentation and writing skill

      At least 18 years of age

      Legally authorized to work in the United States

      High School Diploma or GED

      Must be actively enrolled in a degree program or graduated with the last year

      Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships

      Relocation reimbursement may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.

      Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location.
