      ON-SITE: position will be based in our NY office on a two-day per week hybrid schedule. Company laptop will be provided for the duration of the program.u00A0u00A0

      Weekly schedule: 28 hours per week, Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-5:00pmu00A0

      Pay rate: $16/houru00A0u00A0

      As an HBG Design Intern at Basic Books, you will have the opportunity to work closely with seasoned professionals and gain hands-on professional experience as you own day-to-day tasks, help with special projects, and attend departmental meetings. u00A0u00A0u00A0
      To enhance your work experience, we offer educational sessions featuring speakers from all departments of the company as well as networking and career development opportunities. u00A0u00A0
      Graphic Design Intern Responsibilities include: u00A0u00A0
      • Collaborate with and assist the Basic Books Groupu2019s marketing team on the concept and creation of all promotional graphics
      • Contribute to marketing campaign brainstorming
      • Tasks include, but not limited to designingu00A0social media banners, Amazon A+ content, print and digital ads, postcards, bookmarks, and flyers
      • Attend 1-on-1, team, and departmental meetings
      Requirements u00A0u00A0
      • Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color, and other graphic design fundamentals
      • Experience with InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Canva
      • Strong creative and analytical skills
      • Compelling portfolio of graphic design work
      • Enthusiasm for books
      • An interest in non-fiction
