Assist in developing value stream mapping for supply chain functions.
Identify gaps in process documentation, metrics, training, etc. and support corrective action activities to be audit compliant.
Identify value opportunities through data analysis, mining, and be able to collaborate with diverse internal supply chain teams.
Recommend business processes changes to continuously improve delivery performance and cost reduction.
Collaborate and build relationships with key collaborators in supply chain, Commercial and operations teams.
Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to internship or co-op, and at least one additional semester following internship or co-op.
Must be pursuing at least a Bachelors level degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related major.
Academic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0
Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)
Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship (students on an F1 visa with CPT can be accommodated)
Ability to commit to a full time (40 hrs. per week)

Position Description:
The Supply Chain Intern will participate in the evaluation of Supply Chain functions across multiple value streams to optimize the flow of product in a highly automated distribution center. They will develop value stream maps, flow charts, review processes, evaluate metrics and its efficiency. Support Strategic Initiatives and assist in building synergy among various Supply Chain Functions. Aid in document control to be aligned with Audit requirements. This role reports directly to Supply Chain Site Head.
The Alcon team is looking for a talented and motivated intern to join us onsite for 10-12 weeks in Summer 2024 at the John Creek, GA location.
Alcon interns will have the opportunity to not only gain industry experience and network with other Alcon professionals.
