Freese and Nichols has great Intern opportunities for Electrical Engineering students for Summer 2024. These opportunities are in-office, not virtual. Current students will have the chance to gain hands on experience and work alongside professional engineers. As an intern you will contribute to projects and apply what you are learning in your college coursework. This is a great opportunity for a student to get experience in a dynamic and growing engineering consulting firm. Relocation and housing are NOT provided for this position.
By planning and designing the infrastructure our society needs, working at Freese and Nichols means positively impacting the world around us. We plan, design, and manage infrastructure projects with client service and continuous improvement in mind.
The Electrical Engineering group is responsible for:
- Building assessments
- Primary electrical distribution
- Medium voltage distribution
- High voltage substations
- Emergency power generation
- Fire alarm
- Lighting
Responsibilities:
- Perform specific and limited tasks within a broader assignment
- Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations
- Assist project manager as needed
- Collect, adjust, and correlate perform calculations, and recognize discrepancies in results
- Current student pursuing a BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering
- Graduation date of August 2024 or later
- Student organizational involvement
