- Interest in or pursuing a degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology or Child Development, preferred or we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Current certification in CPR/first aid, communicable diseases, and child abuse prevention and recognition, preferred, or we will work with you to obtain.
- The Ability to maintain ODJFS standards for employees and program operation, we will train.
- Valid Ohio Driver’s license and the ability to obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards (if driving is a requirement)
Overview
Classification : Temporary, Full-Time, Non-Exempt, 30-35 hours/week, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday beginning on May 21, 2025, and ending August 6, 2025. The Salvation Army, W. Mound St. location.
Salary : $15.00 per hour
Job Focus: This position ensures the safety of all children as they engage in all camp activities, on-site and on field trips. Counselors assist in planning activities and lead interactive learning stations to enhance students’ skills. They are role models for all students through their action, language, personal hygiene, and positive attitudes.
