The Events & Sponsorships Intern will assist Sr. Manager of Branding, Events & Advertising in executing event and sponsorship marketing plans to help RWE build its brand, increase awareness of the company with key stakeholders in the Americas (particularly in the U.S.) and achieve the business growth strategy.

Responsibilities:

• As a member of the RWE Corporate Communications Team in the Americas, help improve the company’s brand awareness, assisting in carrying out event marketing and sponsorship opportunities such as energy industry conferences, tradeshows, and corporate events
• Assist in coordinating events and sponsorships, which may include sourcing vendors, tracking event registration, and creating post-event summaries
• Assist in managing event budgets
• Collaborate with other departments, such development and finance, to help manage logistics and handle vendor payments
• Help execute marketing activities in support of events including campaigns (digital, print, broadcast, etc.), and sponsorship fulfillment
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders on the creation of effective ticketing pages and event communications
• Provide attendee management support at events in the Americas
• Monitor market trends and competitors’ activities
• Adhere to RWE branding and design standards for all marketing materials
  

Qualifications:

• E nrolled in an accredited US university program , pu rsuing a degree in Marketing, Event Management, Public Relations or Communications
• Detail-oriented project manager with good writing skills
• Some event planning experience
• Technologically savvy with some experience leveraging events management software such as Eventbrite preferred
• Creative mindset with an ability to come up with innovative ideas
• Ability to effectively communicate with vendors, contractors, and activation partners
• Some financial acumen (Microsoft Excel) and design skills (Adobe Photoshop, Canva etc) preferred

T his is a full-time 12-week summer internship starting at the end of May in our Valhalla, NY office.

Pay range: The hourly range for this position in New York is $25 per hour - $27 per hour. The listed hourly range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations.
