      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      StartingBlock - Madison's Startup Hub, seeks an Events Intern to join our growing team. This position will help manage event planning, coordination and support for events. We are a small team and are looking for “can-do” people with enthusiasm, energy and creativity.

      Responsibilities:

      • In partnership with the CEO and Operations Director, coordinate the logistics of event planning for StartingBlock, StartingBlock members and ecosystem events.
      • Be onsite for client events.
      • Work with clients to troubleshoot issues with AV, catering and building access.
      • Willingness to work early mornings, after hours, nights and occasional weekends.

      Qualifications:

      Requirements:

      • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly independent environment and juggle multiple ongoing projects and responsibilities.
      • Passion for events, an eye for details and keen sense of customer service.
      • “Can do” attitude.
      • Self-starter.
      • Team Player.
      • Strong Organizational Skills.
      • Project Management Skills.
      • Ability and willingness to respond to emergent situations and change direction with little or no notice.
