Full-time | 60-80 hours every two weeks | Day shift | Some hours outside of normally scheduled for shadowing opportunities | Temporary for 10 weeks

Experience the summer of a lifetime at Rice Memorial Hospital and CentraCare Clinic! You will get the opportunity to immerse yourself into healthcare and learn about a variety of ways in which patients receive care! This internship will last 10 weeks and will consist of rotations in multiple departments such as: Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Imaging, Laboratory, Surgery and Radiation Oncology!

JOB SUMMARY:

The Summer Health Care Internship willl bring students and health care employers together to provide students experience in a health care environment and employers the opportunity to meet future health care professionals. Duties may involve assisting with registering/scheduling, cleaning/sterilizing instruments, cleaning/restocking and preparing exam rooms, transporting patients, clerical duties, in addition to observation within the departments.

Education:

• Must currently be in your junior or senior year of high school and intend to complete graduation requirements or
• Must be a post-secondary student enrolled in a Minnesota educational institution or
• A resident of Minnesota enrolled in an out-of-state program
• Post-secondary students must be enrolled, but not graduating in 2024, in a two-or four-year health care degree program, with the intention of completing the program
