      Position Overview

      The RGA Summer Internship Program is committed to providing students with meaningful work and a chance to gain a wide knowledge of the insurance industry and to network with fellow interns and full-time associates. We provide a welcoming environment where students are encouraged to ask questions and contribute their ideas while expanding their technical and communication skills.

      Actuarial Intern duties will vary by hiring department.



      Responsibilities

      Sample projects and duties include:

      • Assist in implementing and/or maintaining actuarial models.
      • Manipulate, summarize, and/or analyze large amounts of data.
      • Assist in developing, enhancing, and automating processes.
      • Coordinate and communicate with other RGA departments.


      Requirements

      • Progress toward completion of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Math, Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics or related field.
      • Intermediate PC and technical skills.
      • Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
      • Takes initiative and is accountable.
      • Ability to multitask.
      • Ability to balance detail with department goals and objectives.
      • Advanced oral and written communication skills.
      • Complex analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, and participate in department projects.
      • A1 Actuarial Exams preferred for internship positions.
