      About the Role

      Harman Professional is seeking a talented, highly motivated, and dynamic future mechanical engineer to join our product development team. Assignments are broad in nature, requiring appreciable initiative, originality, ingenuity, and strong problem-solving skills. You will be actively helping review designs, update test methods, and document activities.


      Your Team

      You will work as an intern under the supervision of Sr. Manager, Mechanical Engineering, and mechanical engineers.


      What You Will Do

      • Work experience may include detailed design, testing, and/or project engineering.
      • Provide CAD design/drafting support as needed using SolidWorks software.
      • Contribute to the preparation and execution of key engineering tasks.
      • Participates in process improvement activities as approved and directed by supervisor.
      • Operate as a multidisciplinary member of a team of creative, independent individuals.

      What You Need

      • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program at an accredited institution having completed your Sophomore year or later.
      • Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
      • 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)
      • Must have taken courses in Mechanical Engineering
      • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders and executives.
      • Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

      What is Nice to Have

      • Experience in audio technologies, professional audio systems, speech/voice/music processing
      • Understanding of professional audio testing and equipment
      • Applied Mechanical Engineering Design and test experience.
      • A love of music

      What Makes You Eligible

      • Be willing to work in an office in Northridge, CA.
      • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
      • Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work.
      • Must possess unrestricted work authorization.
      • Must provide full work availability from May 22, 2024, through August 11, 2024, and be able to work 40 hours per week depending on workload.

      Salary Ranges:

      USD 52,200 - USD 63,800
