Job Description

- Work on a modeling project during the summer that will help data science team
- The intern will work with a data scientist as a mentor to get familiar with Flagstar systems and will be able to create a deliverable that will fulfill a business need by the end of the summer.
HS Diploma, GED or Foreign Equivalent Required
Current student or recent graduate pursing a major in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Business Administration, IT, or related area of study required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to partner effectively with other members of the MIS and Data Science teams
Motivated to learn and develop advanced analytics skills
Highly organized and has strong attention to detail
• Some experience in SQL based Power BI / Snowflake, python-based Jupyter Notebook / SageMaker / machine learning preferred

As a Flagstar Intern you will have the opportunity to learn the daily functions and operations of our Mortgage department. During this time, you will interact with team members and leaders to gain real-world experience by working alongside our team to learn our processes and improve efficiencies while expanding on the core concepts introduced throughout your college classes. Throughout your internship you will participate in multiple engagement sessions designed to enhance your career outlook, communication skills, and business knowledge.
