      Role and Responsibilities

      Small Appliances is a business division within the Digital / Home Appliance group at Samsung Electronics, and focused on growing market share and brand awareness, specifically for Stick and Robot Vacuums.

      We operate as a lean startup, enjoying broad responsibility, and collaborating closely with the larger organization and teams.

      The Product Marketing Intern will:

      • Develop and complete a competitive benchmarking / price sensitivity study across major retailers analyzing lead competitors, consumer and retail sales feedback both online and in stores
      • Assist in analyzing marketing activity, performance and spend, and making recommendations to optimize
      • Assist with go-to-market (GTM) initiatives and deliverables including marketing, sales and training materials
      • Provide analysis on syndicated market share data including recommendations
      • Work closely with other teams including Demand Generation, Social, Digital, Business Analytics and others

      Skills and Qualifications

      Minimum Qualifications

      • Must be enrolled in an accredited University
      • Proper work authorization
      • Maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA
      • Required Reporting Location: 85 Challenger Road, Ridgefield Park, NJ (Office days required Monday through Thursday)
      • Must be able to work throughout the summer: 6/3/2024-8/9/2024

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Current undergraduate pursuing degree in a Business, Marketing, or Entrepreneurship area with at least two years of college completed or MBA
      • Two or more years of work experience, preferably within a consumer business environment
      • Initiative and enthusiasm for collaborating with and learning from others
      • Desire, confidence and poise to present recommendations and engage with all levels of the organization
      • Comfort with a fast pace, and timely decisions / recommendations sometimes with limited data
      • Highly analytical problem solver who can synthesize data, identify trends, and bring clarity
      • Excellent planning, execution and time management skills
      • Reliable transportation for visiting retail stores
      • Must be able to write, read, analyze, interpret, present marketing data, analytics, dashboards and reporting materials
      • Must be comfortable navigating a complex organization and building cross-functional relationships
      • Must be skilled at planning, organizing, prioritizing, and executing simultaneous projects and activities (superior project management skills)
      • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple project priorities and drive flawless execution in a quickly changing environment
      • Excellent presentation skills; ability to communicate your ideas and convince an audience using data and visual storytelling
      • Previous experience in developing marketing and sales presentations, using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (intermediate to advanced skill level using these MS Office products is required)
      • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
      • Basic understanding of key marketing metrics – particularly online / digital
      • Ability to learn and understand physical product, it’s functionality / usability and consumer benefits
      • Experience with website analysis using standard tools (desired)
