      The City of Coral Springs City Clerk's Office is seeking a Summer Intern.

      Rate of Pay:
      High School - $12.00
      Undergrad College - $15.00

      Summer Internships are planned to run from June 17th to August 9thThe program goal is to introduce college and university students to the various aspects of municipal government. The program is designed to provide student with real experience to enhance their academic and professional endeavors.

      Assist Office of the City Clerk Staff with Records Management tasks that may include:
      • Uploading digital files and data
      • Organizing and archiving records and documents
      • Making copies of paperwork and distributing as needed
      • Retrieving data and files for other departments and personnel
      • Using alphabetical and numerical systems to organize paper and electronic records documents
      • Checking paperwork, digital forms, and files, and updating or correcting documentation as needed
      • Updating filing systems and devising new filing and organizational storage systems for data and documents
      • Creating new files and providing needed information on forms and reports
      • Securing and protecting sensitive information in documents
      • Scanning paper documents and verifying that scanned documents are clear and legible
      • Assisting with processing requests for files and data
      • Recording when and what documents have been borrowed and returned
      • Monitoring records management filing materials and office supplies
      • Assisting with the disposition of records, when required in accordance with public records laws
      • Operating office equipment
      • Typing and performing data entry
      • Assisting with safe archiving of documents
      • Currently a High School or College level student.
      • Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and attend mandatory on-boarding program.
      • May require attendance at after-hours business meetings or City events.
      • The work is sedentary work which requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
      All interns must pass a required background screening:
