- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program such as education preferred.
- Experience working with youth.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Empathetic, non-judgmental approach.
- Knowledge and experience with diverse cultures and economic backgrounds.
- Experience in recreation or nutrition is an asset.
- Experience or knowledge of program development and education.
- Experience with program delivery, especially with youth programming.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.

June-Aug, 2025Summary of Job Description
The Youth Activity Worker will support a variety of program initiatives held by community resource centers and the summer day camp program. Resource Centre programs such as outdoor group programming and youth mentorship. In supporting the summer day camp program, individuals may work with children ages 6-12 with a focus on preventing learning loss for students and improving education skills. Day camp programs will focus on literacy, numeracy, science, art, and health and incorporate many fun and engaging activities. The programs will also focus on building social connections and resilience.
Programs will run Monday to Friday 10-3 pm. Applicants must be between 16 and 24 years old.
