EMSL is currently seeking a Part Time Summer Laboratory Intern in Minneapolis, MN location. This role will support the team by performing sample preparation and some clerical duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparation of bulk and solid materials for asbestos PCM and TEM samples
Preparation of microbiology, metals, and IH samples
Assist with clerical and lab duties as needed, such as data entry, sample review, and calibration and cleaning of laboratory instrumentation/equipment
Perform QA/QC practices per company QA/QC manual
Other duties as assigned to meet business needs
Requirements:
Pursuing an Associates or Bachelor's degree in life sciences
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
One to two years of previous academic or commercial lab experience a plus
Must be able to work independently and with a team
Must be able to work in a fast-paced setting, multi-task, and prioritize assignments
Must have good communication, computer, typing, and organizational skills
Available Shift:
Position is full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
