  The Newton Public Schools Summer Learning AcademySummer Enrichment for 2024 will include all Title I, Extended School Year (ESY) and Choose 2 Connect (C2C). It will begin on July 8, 2024, and run through August 2, 2024. The program will run Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, hours can be seen next to each position. Our mission is to encourage student interests and advance learning through a project-based curriculum that activates 21st Century Skills including, but not limited to, creativity, collaboration, and utilizing critical thinking to solve real-world problems. The curriculum will include grade-level prerequisite concepts and skills in the areas of English Language Arts and Mathematics when appropriate. All Positions are $37.50 hourly unless otherwise listed. Summer Nurse Preparation (20 Hours) Ensure that all students registered for summer have the correct medical information on record with the district prior to the summer program starting July 10th Step 1 BA per diem rate based on the 2024-2025 school year per hour for up to 20 hours (C2C) Summer Substitute Teachers ($30.00 per hour) and Substitute Teacher’s Assistants ($17 per hour) are also needed.
