      Woodward Park City’s Summer Lift Operator will be an essential member of the Mountain Operations team, reporting to the Mountain Operations Supervisor. This employment opportunity is offered as a full-time or part-time seasonal position. The successful applicant will be responsible for our lifts' safe and friendly operations to ensure efficient transportation of our employees and guests. The successful applicant will safely execute all daily tasks while effectively communicating with guests and other team members to create a unique, memorable experience.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities

      • Come help create a safe, fun, and friendly environment while working as a lift operator and embracing the adventure lifestyle at Woodward!

      • Adhere to all ski/ride policies. This will include the Responsibility Code, designated trails, riding on and off the clock, etc.

      • Follow and perform all company and departmental policies and procedures, including but not limited to punctuality, attendance, and dress.

      • Operate chairlift and surface lifts safely and efficiently.

      • Provide excellent customer service by anticipating the needs of our guests.

      • Safely assist customers with loading and unloading of the chairlift if needed.

      • Maintain a safe work area, i.e., chair lift unloading and loading ramps, and a clean/organized work area.

      • Safely performs all tasks to completion.

      • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and learn new skills.

      • Successful completion and documentation of all pre-operational checks and stops before loading public and throughout the day.

      • Monitor the operation of the lift throughout the day and notify appropriate personnel of any problems or unusual conditions.

      • Assist the ticketing team as needed to maintain a successful operation.

      • Assist in any other tasks that may arise.

      Preferred Experience/Special Skills

      • Guest Service experience is preferred

      • Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, work as part of a team, and lead teams in achieving goals.

      • Able to use tools and machines to maintain unloading and loading areas throughout the season as the environment changes.

      Basic Requirements

      • Must be at least 18 years of age.

      • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.

      • High School Diploma or equivalent required

      • Must be able to make quick decisions regarding safety.

      • Must maintain control and a rational demeanor in emotionally charged situations involving guests and/or employees.

      • Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand for long periods of time, lift 50 lbs.

      • Must be comfortable working in an outdoor all-season environment.

      • Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a criminal background check will be conducted after the position is accepted.
