The Beverly YMCA is seeking Summer Literacy Program Staff to support summer programming from July 8th through August 9th. In this role, the program staff will meet the Summer Literacy program at the Hanna School and gather the children for the bus ride over to Camp Sterling Woods. Once you arrive at Camp, the program staff will transition into Camp Counselors to the group of children in the Literacy program.
Camp Sterling Woods is l ocated on 35 acres of beautiful woods, complete with trails, a ropes course, a zip line, a pond, cabins, and a stage. Camp includes everyone’s favorites; swimming, archery, music, drama, art, sports, brain games, nature, science experiments, and more! On a regular camp day, you will assist in the supervision of campers and lead summer games and activities. It will be your responsibility to ensure safety guidelines are followed and remain alert and attentive to the needs of the campers. To succeed as a camp counselor you should be positive, proactive, and caring while focusing on giving campers a fun and safe camp experience.
