The New Ventures Strategy Intern will play a vital role in supporting the New Ventures team at RWE Clean Energy. The team is focused on staying at the forefront of technological advancements and market trends within the clean energy industry. The intern will be assigned specific projects which are designed to add value to the organization while providing real world experience. While receiving mentoring and technical guidance from the New Ventures team.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in the development of PowerPoint presentations
• Aid in the preparation of term sheets and responses to requests for proposals (RFPs)
• Keep both internal and external marketing presentations, as well as investor relation presentations, current and up to date
• Engage in market intelligence activities aligned with the goals of the New Ventures team
• Analyze industry trends and emerging technologies
• Conduct strategic assessments using market data and present essential research findings on potential non-core business opportunities for the New Ventures team
• Assist in the review of agreements related to renewable energy, including power purchase agreements (PPAs) and asset purchase agreements (APAs)
• Summarize potential acquisition opportunities pertaining to renewable assets

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in an accredited US university program, pursuing a degree in Economics, Marketing, Market Research, Finance, Statistics, Engineering, Food/Agricultural Systems, or Math/Data Analytics
• Excellent Power Point and Excel Skills
• Ability to efficiently gather web-based information skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Self-starter – ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Completion or relevant internship or other previous position preferred

This is a full-time 12-week summer internship starting at the end of May in our Valhalla, NY office.

Pay range: The hourly range for this position in New York is $25 per hour - $30 per hour. The listed hourly range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations.
